FREEHOLD - In spring 2015, Millegusti opened on the Paseo Maritimo in Fuengirola. The restaurant is located close to the port and close to the city centre. It also does a lot of catering business. All tables are on the outside terrace which of course can be closed with awnings during the winter months, but where there is always a nice breeze during the hot summer months. They cater mainly to Scandinavian guests but have also focused on the Spanish clients, getting them interested in typically Swedish food such as Toast Skagen. Targeted marketing on Facebook and TripAdvisor has paid off well, specially working with story telling and images of home made and well prepared food. On TripAdvisor, it is by far the most popular Swedish restaurant and constantly on top 50 amongst the 800+ restaurants in Fuengirola. It also shows various sporting events on TV for the guests. Average daily sales have been approximately €400 from the start and has continually increased up to €600-700 today, but is expected to rise to at least €1,000. The restaurant is very suited to run as a family business. The rental contract of the premises and all licenses are included in the sale of the business.Fuengirola, with its near 70,000 inhabitants is the centre of many of the Expat communities on the Costa del Sol. The train from Malaga, by way of the airport, has its last stop here. There are many reasons why so many of our clients prefer Fuengirola. You don´t need a car, several international schools, churches, associations are located in Fuengirola. Many of the businesses in the area are owned by foreigners and the majority of shops have English speaking staff. However, apart from the expat communities, Fuengirola is a Spanish town with a pulsating everyday life that keeps the city moving also in the winter. The town is located only 20 minutes´ drive from Malaga airport and it has the longest and most beautiful beach promenade on the coast. 8 km with generous cycle and pedestrian lanes are lined with 100s of restaurants and bars. Just outside Fuengirola is Mijas Golf with two 18-hole golf courses.
